Course Overview
This course is designed to meet a portion of the Nebraska Mathematics Standards Grade 11.
The course includes but is not limited to the following topics:
1. Linear Relations and Functions
2. Quadratic, Polynomial, and Radical Functions and Relations
3. Advanced Functions and Equations
4. Discrete Mathematics
Grading
Homework/Boardwork – complete homework may be used to raise a 5-minute check grade
5-Minute Check – 10 points
Mid-Chapter Quiz – 30 points - extra credit quiz available
Chapter Test – 60 points - extra credit test practice (mixed problem solving) can earn you up to 5 bonus points toward your test grade
All 5-Minute Checks will be done in your graph notebook which will remain in the classroom at all times.
If you fail to have an assignment complete when it is due, it may NOT be used to raise your 5-minute check grade. All your work MUST be shown; I will NOT accept a paper with just the answers written down.
Midterm tests will be given in December.
Final tests will be given in May.
Extra credit will not be given to replace the required course work. Extra credit will only be given if your required work is completed and you need extra practice to understand the skills required to be successful during this course.
